Education is a path towards liberation and freedom, as Janswabhiman Welfare Society believes and strives to inculcate in its activities. The Society's Shiksha centres are truly becoming liberating for the children from underprivileged and impoverished families and of Pakistani Hindu refugee families. These children come from a fractured world — a world which only gave them insults, ridicule, discrimination and pushed them towards a life of addiction and crime. The children of refugees carried an additional hurt of physical and mental torture from Islamist Pakistan.
Through Sanatan-based education, Janswabhiman has not just rescued children — it has resurrected their dreams.
Janswabhiman became the healing factor for these children with each passing day. Each morning, the rising sun witnesses them chanting the Gayatri Mantra, performing Yoga and Pranayam, and greeting the day with folded hands. As the day progresses, these children immerse themselves in Mathematics, general knowledge, learning languages like Hindi and English, learning life skills and lessons in Dharma. Arts and crafts bring color to their lives and festivals are celebrated together, helping them to forget the discrimination they once had endured and reminding them all are equal in Sanatana Dharma.
