1. About Our Website and Content
Thanks for visiting the Jan Swabhiman Welfare Society website. We use this platform to share our projects, success stories, and educational materials. We honestly do our best to keep everything accurate and current. However, all the information here is shared in good faith just to keep you informed. We try our hardest to keep the website up to date, but we can't make any legal guarantees that absolutely everything is always complete or accurate.
2. Donations and Your Tax Benefits (80G/12A)
We deeply appreciate your financial support; it's entirely voluntary and means the world to our mission.
Tax Deductions: Your donations are eligible for tax benefits under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
Form 10BE: Indian tax laws require us to submit donor information, including your PAN, to the Income Tax Department so we can generate your official Form 10BE. When you donate, you're giving us the green light to handle this mandatory filing on your behalf.
Where Your Money Goes: We make sure every single rupee goes directly toward the charitable work approved under our 12A/12AB registration.
We take your privacy seriously. Because we operate under India's 2023 DPDP Act, Jan Swabhiman acts as your Data Fiduciary. In plain English: we are completely legally and ethically accountable for locking down any personal details you share with us. When you give us your contact info or PAN, you're consenting to let us process it. We promise to only use this data for exactly what's needed: sending your tax receipts, sharing updates on how your money is helping, and fulfilling government audits. You can always ask us to check, update, or delete your information—just keep in mind that the law requires us to hold onto certain tax records for a few years.
4. Liability
Please know that Jan Swabhiman Welfare Society, along with our volunteers and trustees, cannot be held legally responsible for any decisions you make based on the content of this site. You use the website at your own discretion.
5. Cancellations and Refunds
Because we are a non-profit organization, donations generally cannot be refunded once they go through. That said, we know technical glitches happen! In case a technical glitch causes a double charge, just reach out to us within 7 days. We'll verify the error on our end and get that extra payment refunded to you right away.
6. Copyright & Protecting Our Content
The photos of the people we help, our research reports, and the "Jan Swabhiman" logo reflect a lot of hard work and, more importantly, the privacy of our beneficiaries. All of these materials are protected under the Indian Copyright Act, 1957. Please don't copy, reproduce, or distribute our content without getting written permission from our General Secretary first.
7. Legal Jurisdiction
This website and all our policies follow the laws of India. If any legal issues come up regarding this website, they will be settled exclusively in the courts of New Delhi.
