The Gaumata has been venerated in the Sanatan Dharma, since time immemorial. She has been referred to as a Mother — due to her gentle and nourishing nature. Yet in today’s world, she is often met with cruelty — abandoned, injured, or slaughtered by beef mafia. Against this tide of brutality stands the Gaushala of Janswabhiman Welfare Society, where more than 300 Gaumatas and calves find safety, healing, and unconditional care every month.
“गावो मे मातरः सन्तु, गावो मे सन्तु पितरः।” “May the cows be my mothers; may the cows be my fathers.” (Atharva Veda 11.1.30)
In the peaceful atmosphere of the Noida Gaushala, visitors from every background experience the quiet, transformative grace of these divine mothers. Children arrive hesitantly but soon melt into giggles as calves nuzzle their palms; elders rediscover Sanatani bhakti and karuna through Gauseva; families celebrate birthdays and anniversaries in the Sanatani way — with havan, pooja, Prasad, and prayers for wellbeing. The Gaushala also strengthens community through sustainable practices. Organic farming, cow-based products, and holistic models of economic self-reliance support the shelter, aligning modern needs with timeless Dharma.
